Chatswood Mall Markets, Chatswood

Just before Christmas, the bestie and I met up at Chatswood to get some gift wrapping, as well as pick up a few nic nacs to complete certain KK gifts. While we were strolling around, we stumbled across the Christmas Mall markets. It's practically the same as the normal mall market, except there are a lot more vendors selling Christmas related goodies.

I love food market stall hopping. You get to soak up the sun while buying various things to share with friends. When we caught whiff of the sizzling garlic prawns and chorizos cooking away at the hot plate like it was no ones business, the smell got the bestie salivating and without much convincing, we did a lap around the whole street and decided on a few dishes to share for dinner.

I loved everything we got, especially the pork belly burger. Its a Taiwanese style dish. Filled with pillowy soft pieces of pork, some preserved vegetables and a sprinkle of peanut sugar all encased in a momofuku bun. I could eat that again and again!

The Taiwanese basil chicken was a real hit too. I love the spices they sprinkle on top of it once it's cooked.

Also managed to get some Taiwanese green tea filled pancakes for dessert. Of course I was too full and didn’t eat it then and there. I ate it with my mum when I got home and forgot to take a pic lol.

As usual, we over ordered by a lot and there was plenty leftover for lunch the next day.

I like that the Chatswood markets aren't as crowded as the city ones - I saw the pork belly burger and was intrigued, but I had already had dinner! Maybe next time :P
