Happy New Year everyone! Hope everyone had a good break over the Christmas/ New year period.
It's been an amazing 2011 and I've enjoyed every bit of it! Without friends and family, I don't think it would have been the same. A small recount of highlights throughout 2011:
JAN: Catching up with my cousins, friends and others I haven't seen in a long time. Esp enjoyed the lobster dish at Kobe Jones with my cousins :)
FEB: Started experimenting with more complicated recipes and sharing the resulting baked goodies with friends and family
MAR: After many years on the waiting list, finally getting my hands on my Miu Miu Bow satchel *yikes*
APR: A huge month in itself - The Script concert - amazing!; attending Adriano Zumbo's masterclass and meeting him in person; and the Easter Show!
MAY: Sister's birthday (My sis, her bf and I when we were bored at the restaurant haha)
JUN: Mum's birthday; exam month - I hadn't sat an exam in ages so it was a little bit stressful lol but nothing a good meal can't fix ;)
JUL: David Choi concert and meeting his support act, Jayesslee :D
AUG: My girlfriends decided to take impromptu photos (with DSLRs, tripods and all) on the side of a secluded road after our visit to Lilianfels for high tea. The beautiful sunlight made the helium balloons look amazing (a random cafe owner in Leura gave these to us), then there's me jumping like an idiot haha
SEP: My birthday; my first bridge run and fundraising for a great cause with colleagues
OCT: Sydney International Food Festival, lots of dessert tasting and eating in general :D
NOV: Trip to the Hunter Valley with my girlfriends for fabulous food, stocking up on wine, cheese, breads, jams, etc... Of course, our signature jumping photos :)
DEC: Christmas! Work Christmas party on the Starship; catching up with old friends from HK, US, etc... Generally eating a lot and no work for about 2 weeks YAY!
As usual, there are ups and downs but overall, 2011 has been a fantastic year! Here's to another year of adventures, eating and memories :)
