Since we visited during the second week, T and I ordered the 2 of the specials and the special honey toast range on offer.

Clockwise from top: Mango honey toast $12.80; grass jelly, shaved ice with grass jelly, jelly cake and icecream; & milk pudding with grass jelly and pearl $6.80
We felt like pigs having all of the above on our table. The grass jelly one was ok, pretty generic and similar to what I previously ordered at Meet Fresh - though personally, I'd say I prefer Meet Fresh's version. The milk pudding on the other hand was really smooth and nice. A strong milk flavour, both in smell and taste. Condensed milk was a welcome addition to the mild dessert.
Other tables were in awe of what we ordered, in particular the mango honey toast. (Ok, more like super surprised with how much we had ordered lol).

The mango honey toast was HUGE! We didn't think it's be so big. The waiter offered to cut it up for us, but we decided to cut it up ourselves coz we wanted pictures of the pretty product.

Mango honey toast innards
The insides of the honey toast were toasted soldiers, slightly buttered (I was able to eat it so it wasn't too heavily buttered). The mango pieces were generous and I enjoyed the scoop of icecream on top. The custard and mango syrup on the other hand was way too sweet and tasted kind of artificial. We hardly finished it all because it was so big and it was quite late at night (around midnight).
Other times, when I've visisted ZenQ, I've had their signature dessert with Q balls.

Grass jelly with ZenQ signature Q balls (taro/ sweet potato/ match) and pearl $6.20
The signature dessert was quite nice. It had a mixture of grass jelly, pearls, grass jelly flavoured shaved ice and their signature Q balls. Despite all the flavours of the balls, it's more a visual thing. They tasted quite similar (slightly bland) to me, which isn't a bad thing at all. I quite enjoy the mild flavours of Taiwanese desserts.

Forest berries earl grey tea (hot) $7.00
Another time I visited, I ordered a hot drink instead of the usual cold desserts as it was rather cool outside (Crazy Sydney summer). The tea came with some fruit pieces in the cup and a pot of tea to pour over the fruits. The berry flavour was quite artificial (kind of like diluted cordial) but the earl grey wasn't too bad. From past experience and what my friends have told me, I think it's best to stick to the cold drinks and desserts at ZenQ.
Overall, this is a solid dessert place to sit down for a nice snack with friends anytime of the day. Really enjoy the later opening times too.
